ATTRIBUTES
Academics
I have consistently been on the high honor roll since my freshman year. Currently, I am the salutatorian out of 48 seniors in my class. This year, I am taking 2 AP classes, 2 Dual Credit classes, and 1 Honors class. I try to push myself to all my capabilities. My freshman year I tied for the highest GPA of the freshman class. I have received many awards for having the highest grade average in a class. I also play high school and select softball so I have to balance my academics and sports. My parents instilled in me that academics always need to come first, and I try to remember that by doing the best I can in every class.
Athletics
My freshman and sophomore years, I participated in volleyball, basketball, and varsity softball. My junior year I only participated in varsity volleyball and varsity softball. This year, I decided to only play softball so I could focus on achieving my dream of playing softball at the next level. I loved all the sports, but softball is my one love. I have received many awards for softball including 2012 Academic All-State, 2012 2nd team All-State, 2012 1st Team All-District, and 2011 2nd Team All-District. I was also part of the 2010 State Championship Team. I have balanced my academics and sports in high school so I can be more prepared to balance them in college.
Community Service
At Reicher, we are required to do 20 hours of service hours each year. I do my community service at the Mayborn Museum and the St. Louis basketball camps. At the Mayborn, I lead different age groups of children around the museum and educate them about what is in each room. At the basketball camps, I work with kids between the ages of 5 and 10 and help teach them the fundamentals of basketball. I try to do 30 hours or more each year because I enjoy giving back and have fun doing it. I choose to work with children because they are our future and I want to educate them so the future can be even brighter.
