Academics
I have always tried to excel to the best of my ability academically. I am currently 4th in my class of 140 students, and am only 0.01 points away from being 3rd. During my high school career, I have taken all Honors and Advanced Placement level classes. In doing so, I have maintained a 94.3 GPA. This year, I am enrolled in four AP Classes, and one Honors Class. I have made principals list every term during High School and made the honor roll every term from 6th grade to 8th grade. My SAT scores are 570 in Math, 580 in Reading, and 660 in Writing. My ACT Scores are 24 in English, 24 in Math, 29 in Reading, 28 in Science, and a 25 in Combined English and Writing totaling a composite score of a 26. I scored advanced on all of my MCAS tests, and scored a 1650 on my PSATs my sophomore year.
Government
Government is one of the subjects that interest me the most. I served as an intern for my local State Representative, and spent a total of 273 hours working on his campaign for reelection. On Election Day, I was stationed at different jobs from 5:00 in the morning to 10:00 at night when the results came in. During this experience, it was my job to write press releases, do research on certain topics, and answer emails and calls from constituents on behalf of the representative. The Representative even gave me the title of Field Director for his campaign, and charged me in assigning other volunteers what jobs to do, and organizing events such as phone calls, door knocking, and stand outs. While he did not win, I have taken an internship with my local Mayor to remain involved in government.
Faith
Faith has always been the number one priority in my life. I was brought up in a devout Catholic- Christian Family with the values of leading a strong, moral, Christian life ingrained in my head. I have never missed a weekend of church, and try to be involved in the stewardship of my church as much as possible. I have been an altar server for the past 10 years, and serve at all four Catholic Churches in the City of Gardner. I have also been a lector at mass for the past 3 years as well. I also teach Catechism(CCD) to third graders in the parish for the past 3 years. I try to teach them the value of a strong faith, and the benefits that come from it. I have always had a strong faith in God’s plan for me. I will go wherever he leads me. I have even considered the priesthood as a career choice
