Academics
I always have excelled in my academics. I always work hard to get everything in on time and make sure i do extra credit when it is offered. This year my GPA is equal to about 3.75. I also plan to graduate a semester early start college the following semester. My SAT score is a 1710, and my ACT is a 28. I work very hard for the grades that I get. I also strive to do the best that I know I can do. I don't compare my work to that of others, I work to the best that I know I can do. Two subjects that I really excel in are math and anatomy. Those two subjects really fascinate me and I always can grasp to new concepts easier than other classes. I believe you reap what you sow in school. I think you only get out results of the effort you put in to the assignments given to you.
Athletics
I put my whole heart in the sports I play. Soccer and Volleyball have been my sports of choice in my high school career. My freshman year I played both volleyball and soccer. I was on the freshman team for volleyball that year and also the captain for that team. That year I also made the varsity soccer team and lettered as a freshman. I won Academic All-District and 2nd Team All-District. My sophomore year I also played both sports. In volleyball I made JV and was asked to be on the varsity playoff team for that year. For soccer I made varsity again and became captain for that season. I won Academic All-District, 2nd team All-District, and Offensive MVP. Lastly this year I solely committed to soccer. I made the varsity team for the 3rd year in a row and am expected to make captain again.
Faith
I am a class officer for the Fellowship of Christian Athlete group at Lake Dallas High School. This group consists of about 40 teenagers each walking with God with their classmates by their side. In our FCA group, we kids are the preachers. I have done a sermon twice to the group and each week a different grade level leads the meeting. This group meets every Monday night and it's really a great way to start of the week. There are two adults that are there to begin the service and be there as a sort of mentor for all the teenagers. The first adult is the football coach and the second one is the girls’ soccer coach. I really think that this group has furthered my walk with God because in the context that we all preach the sermons and communicate make following His Will so much easier.
