ATTRIBUTES
Academics
in elementary school, I went to a different school for 4th and 5th grade for a specialty program. Then, I was in the Middle Years Program for the International Baccalaureate Programme from 6th grade through 10th grade and earned my certificate. Currently, I have a 4.56 weighted and a 3.8 unweighted while still managing to be in the Diploma Program as an extension to the International Baccalaureate Programme. I am also in the National Honor Society, French Honor Society, Math Honor Society, Science Honor Society, and English Honor Society. On my SAT i received an 1890 and I earned a 27 on my ACT. I also received the Randolph-Macon Book Award for my academic achievements in 11th grade.
Athletics
I have two four year varsity letters for field hockey & softball. I earned All-District All-Academic award 10th, 11th, & 12th grade for field hockey and 9th, 10th, 11th, and hopefully senior year for softball. I also received second team all-district for field hockey my 10th & 11th year & earned first team all-district, honorable mention all-regional, & second team all-metro for field hockey my senior year as well as best offensive player award. For softball, I received honorable mention all-district in 9th and 10th grade for catching and honorable mention all-district for outfield junior year. I also earned MVP in 9th grade, coach's award in 10th grade, and sportsmanship award this year. Outside of school I played travel softball 9th - 11th grade and earned MVP for 3 tournaments.
Community Service
I have been volunteering with the local Pediatric Hematology Oncology Clinic at MCV since 9th grade. I also volunteer for ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation and created a monthly art project for the children with cancer through ASK. I held a volunteer intern position last summer for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and worked for around 100 hours. In 9th grade I created a group to walk in honor of a friend who died from cancer. I also created a "Mad Hatter" tea party for the children at the clinic in 11th grade and held a breast cancer awareness field hockey game this year that raised $750 for the Massey Cancer Center in Richmond, Virginia's MCV. I also earned my silver and bronze awards for Girl Scouts. Lastly, my personal project in 10th grade was Mr. Henrico that raised money for ASK.
