ATTRIBUTES
Academics
I am in the Gifted Program, admitted in the first grade and continue to be in the program. I am in the SDD Program. I am a member of National Honor Society. I have only taken gifted, honors, and AP level courses. I hold a 3.7678 GPA and intend to improve it. I have never failed a course. I have passed my AP Psychology exam my sophmore year for college credit and am currently taking AP Biology and AP English. Next year I am taking AP English for seniors, AP Environmental Sciences, and AP Probability and Statistics. I am a Florida's Young Scholar for the years 2006 and 2010. I was one of two students selected as the county's 2006 Sylvan Learning Center's Young Author's Celebration awardee. I am a published author. Selected as h.s Science Department student of the month. Community Service
I am president of my high school Eco Club. We are a service club, bettering our community both environmentally and inter-personally. I volunteer to collect trash and foreign material along the coast as well as local community areas such as school campus, parks, etc. I am the head athletic assistant to both high school volleyball teams, I volunteer to run all electronic, equipment, and training activities. I am the leader of our high school Teens For Jeans Drive and we also run supply drives for local shelters. I volunteer for middle school fund-raising functions and celebration events. I participate in our NHS supply drives for various shelters within our communities. I am a volunteer math tutor, in partnership with our h.s Mu Alpha Theta club. Other Achievements
This achievement section I would label as "Leadership". I am a FUTURES Foundation for Volusia County Tomorrow's Leader class of 2012-2013. As Eco Club president I provide a safe, open, and accepting space for members to express ideas and volunteer in our community. As secretary of Mu Alpha Theta I encourage attendance and participation in assisting our academic community. As head athletic assistant, I train, teach, and encourage others to perform tasks correctly and to the best of their abilities through a positive and willing attitude. I lead through example. I am helping multiple friends who are struggling or first in their family to aspire to, reach their goals of attending college. I am responsible for picking both younger siblings of mine up from school due to both my parents working.
