Community Service
I am involved in the National Honor Society , Key Club , Senior Men, and Vocation Bible School. I have been involved in many school fairs , Habitat for Humanity , the Special Olympics, an Eagle Scout project, Relay for life and Vocation Bible School ( I was a counselor both years for groups of elementary children aged 7-8). The Eagle Scout project was re-landscaping C.A.M., Cypress Administrative Ministries. Relay for life was a 12 hour cancer walk in which my group raised over 2,000$ for the Cancer research. The National Honor Society ,Key Club and Senior Men are all community service based organizations. Key Club and NHS require 20 hours of service a semester while Senior Men requires 10.
Faith
My faith is something that is very important to me. I am Catholic and attend Christ the Redeemer. I got confirmed my Junior year of high school and volunteered for a week long summer camp called V.B.S. , Vocational Bible School. I was a counselor over groups of elementary children around the age of 7-8. I also got chosen for a program titled "Called by Faith", it is a group of CTR students who have shown signs of outstanding faith and who have shown attributes in being a leader within the Catholic church. I have grown up in a religious family and we make church every week. One day I would like to be a Deacon and show the community how beautiful the Catholic religion is.
Work
Growing up I have been taught that you will get no where in life without hard work and effort. During middle school I worked various odd jobs such as dog sitting, house sitting, pressure washing drive ways, mowing lawns, watering lawns during the summer and cleaning out pools. Going into my sophomore year of high school I worked as a life guard for A-Beautiful pools and had success there, I was able to work another summer with them but chose to work at Cypress Ace Hardware and Feed instead. I got a job there on April 10th, 2011. I worked 30 hour weeks until August 16th, 2011. I stopped working to focus on my most important year in high school ( Junior Year). My hard work and discipline paid off and I got rehired at Cypress Ace in mid-April and worked until the end of September.
