ATTRIBUTES
Athletics
I have been playing softball since I could talk. I play select during the summer and fall, and then high school in the spring. I made Varsity as a freshman for John H. Guyer high school. As a freshman, I received a Bronze Medal and Honorable Mention. As a sophomore, I was nominated Pitcher of the Year for all-district and all-area, as well as bring ‘Player of the Month’ for the Dallas Morning News. During my junior, I was selected as VYPE Magazine’s 50 Players to Watch and 1st Team all-district and all-area player. All three years, I have been a Academic All-district and look forward to playing this year.
Community Service
I have been very active throughout the community and enjoy helping people. I have been volunteering at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital since May of 2012. I got to help out at the front desk and the ICU where many of the hours were spent talking with patients and helping them. I have also, been able to volunteer numerous times at Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen, Carriage House Nursing Home, ValleyCreek church and Operation Care International. My favorite tasks are ones involving talking to the people that are in need of help. At Operation Care Dallas, I was able to help little kids get shoes and see the grateful expressions on the parents faces. There is no greater feeling in the world than helping someone.
Faith
My life goal and greatest passion is to follow Jesus and all the plans He has for me. I believe by receiving Jesus Christ as Lord, we have eternal life, but after a relationship is built, we desire to become more like Him and serve people. I have been involved in ValleyCreek Hub high school ministry for two years. I have also been a middle school student leader for about 6 months and get the privilege of helping students grow. I also, have recently started a mentorship and bible study with an elder at my church. And last, I was one of the founders of Guyer high school's I Am Second bible study. We started it about two years ago, and it is a great light in a dark place.
