Government
Since my freshman year I have been involved in an organization called The Junior State of America, a national student run non-profit. Through this program I have worked for local campaigns, interned with Congressman/woman, learned how to run a campaign, and learned the importance of non-partisan organizations. Along with learning about the political system I worked with Harvard Business school on how to market a company and attended Stanford University's summer program studying Speech and Political Science. Junior State of America has given me the opportunity to run the organization after being elected governor.
Academics
After moving to Florida, I began my high school career at Coral Springs Christian Academy. After two years at the academically challenging preparatory school I transferred to a more rigorous program. I began college early. I started my junior year attending full time college courses at Palm Beach State College. Now in my senior year I am in full time college at Broward College and will graduate high school with majority of my AA classes complete. Continuing school this summer, I will start my freshman year of college with my AA already complete. Academically I have been pushed and stretched more than majority of high school students and am prepared for the future!
Work
Since I was thirteen years of age I have had to hold a job to help provide for my family. Whether I was involved with volunteer work or work for financial gain, it is something I have been very active in. I have worked as a waitress at a local diner, worked as a server and eventually event coordinator at Boca International Catering, and served as a cashier and cook at a small cafe. Each of these jobs lasted at least six months. On top of carrying these jobs I served as a part time nanny, at all times. From January to June in 2012 I served as a full time nanny to a family of three boys all under the age of seven. I love to work and help serve. As volunteer work I have served with Taylor's Closet for 4 years, Love Bags to help feed the homeless, and at my church in the children's ministry.
