Academics
Academic wise, I am currently in the 4.0 GPA Principal’s club at Mifflin High School in Columbus, Ohio. This club is for high achieving students who have made a 4.0 GPA on their report cards. My class rank is 10 out of 121 students. I am extremely focused in school. My GPA is a 3.464. My freshman year in high school, I ended the school year with a perfect 4.0 GPA. My sophomore year, I ended with a 3.8 GPA. My junior year, I moved away to South Point, Ohio and gained stressful issues, with a new start, and more academically challenging school. I ended the school year with a 3.4 GPA. My senior year I've plan to raise my GPA. So far I am on the right track and doing well.
Athletics
Athletic wise, I am an outstanding softball player, especially for an athlete that has scoliosis. I have been a part of the Mifflin High School Varsity Softball team since my freshman year. I’ve earned a letter and honorable mention. My freshman year I played multiple bases. My position was third base. My coaches would place me at multiple different places for various reasons. My sophomore year I pitched all year sometimes subbed for third. I even subbed for our team’s catcher one game due to injuries. My junior year I was a part of the JV softball team. I played third base, sometimes short stop. It wasn’t a great year for me. I was under a lot of pressure and stress. My senior year I am pitching again for Mifflin High School. They're very ecstatic that I am a part of the team again.
Community Service
For community service, I worked at The Salvation Army. This experience was an eye opener for me. I realized how unappreciative I was. It changed me to be more grateful and think positive, because a lot of people didn’t have the necessities that I take for granted or wasted every day. At The Salvation Army, I worked with clients who had utility/housing issues and in need of food. I assisted the clients with paper work, stocked the pantry shelves, and walked clients around the pantry. I loved being in the pantry seeing the smiles on their faces. In the offices I answered and returned phone calls to clients who needed help paying utility bills, rent, or sometimes getting vouchers for furniture/clothes. It was amazing seeing their faces light up because of the work I was doing.
