ATTRIBUTES
Faith
I love being able to help others find their value in life and help them to feel important. For 2 summers now, I have been able to be a Youth Camp Leader assisting with girls between the ages of 12-16 at Church Girls Camp each summer. Starting in February we start to take classes like First Aid, Camp Survival Skills, different craft classes, and spiritual classes in which we are educated and fulfilled to where we in turn can teach these younger girls. I realize how much these younger girls look up to us leaders, and how important it is for me to set a good example in both my personal life, and in how I treat others. I am grateful for this opportunity to get to know these young girls and hopefully make a difference in their life, and help them to recognize their divine potential.
Athletics
Sports have always not only been a passion for me, but they have been my life! I have been a 5 year varsity started in both volleyball and basketball. I have also tried my hand in soccer. Both my basketball team and volleyball team won a State Championship last year, and this year for volleyball. We have yet to complete our basketball season this year. I was also voted all conference MVP for basketball last year. I have been voted on the all-star team for both volleyball my freshman and sophomore years. For basketball I have been voted on the all star team for freshman, sophomore, and junior year. Because of my extensive sports experience, I have also been given the wonderful opportunity to be an assistant coach to several younger teams as well. That was truly fulfilling.
Academics
Being an A student has always been a goal for me. I strive the get the best possible grades I can. I currently attend a Prep Academy, where all the classes are Honors, and we use collegiate texts for every subject. We take classes, like honors physics as early as our sophomore year in high school. While this curriculum can be very challenging, I have risen to the occasion and managed to maintain a 3.93 GPA. I also achieved excelling scores on the Arizona state testing in both Math, and Reading, and Science. I have also received national Latin award for my testing in my Latin skills. My sophomore year in school I received the Animus Magnus Award which awards the students at my school the recognize the highest level of achievement both inside and outside of the classroom
