Academics
Currently, I have diligently achieved straight A's and a 4.0 GPA. I went to Nova High School in Davie, FL, and there I experienced more academic challenges, which I gradually yet successfully overcame. Through academic achievement I was eligible and made it into the prestigious program of College Academy at BC. This program is what challenged me to become even more adept with my studies as well as myself. I have always seen myself as a competitive teen, constantly striving for the best; however, with this program I can still do that. With computer science awards in technology, awards for countless honor rolls, and many more honors that defined what my academic capacity was, I became a student who was not only an academic competitor in school but also a respected and responsible one too.
Community Service
When I was in elementary school, I used to reside in a Before Care (before and after school). I observed tired teachers, bustling children, and many more things that could have been prevented with some willing volunteers. As I grew up and started high school, I volunteered at Nova Eisenhower Elementary Before Care in Davie, FL. There I used my academic achievements to tutor fifth graders, assist teachers in a plethora of tasks, and I earned 936 hours only over two years. Other community service acts included volunteering at Memorial Hospital Pembroke, Walks for Diabetes, Autism, Arthritis, and Alzheimiers, and work around my Hindu community. Through means of a medical, academic, and Hindu family background I used it to my advantage in order to help my community thoroughly.
Faith
Some would say that I am either confused or mixed, since my father is Christian and my mother is Hindu. However, I practice both religions equally, but Hinduism mostly. I am an active member of the Arya Samaj Florida, Inc. temple and I am also the Web Master for the board. I organized various religious shows for the temple that turned out to be a success, by organizing the Hindu youths of our temple into extravagant performances. I also participated in the Divali Nagar Inc. foundation by assisting in the setup of the show and running all vendors. I am also a volunteer for Hindus for Humanity that promises to raise funds for Hindus that are having a rough time in practicing their religion. Because, religion is one of the freedoms that we as an American citizen all have a right to practice.
