Academics
I have exceled in the classroom my whole life. I have finished every semester with all A's. I have a 4.0 and will be graduating high school as my class valedictorian. I may be making good grades myself, but I do not keep the knowledge all to myself. I try my hardest to help other kids out who just simply don't get it. I have had a neighbor come to my house a couple times so I could help him understand his Algebra a little more. I have also taken concurrent classes my Junior and Senior year of high school. I will have completed nearly 40 college credits when I graduate high school. I plan on majoring in Nursing upon graduating from high school.. If I had to summarize myself in the classroom, I would say the student that always does extra work to get the good grade.
Faith
I am a very strong Christain, and I share it with everyone I know. I was diagnosed with a sickness as a baby, and the odds were all against me. I had a very low survival rate. I beat every odd, and I am a healthy survivor. I know that God carried me through my sickness, and I owe everything to Him. I am very thankful with the gifts that He has put in my life. I also am big in the FCA program at my High School. I have served as the chaplin for a couple years, along with the President one year. Before every home basketball game, we have anyone who would like to come down to the court, gather in a circle, and hold hands for a student led prayer. I am the student that leads the prayer. I thank God for giving me the right words to say, and touching people through my prayers.
Athletics
My third grade year, I started competitive cheerleading. I trained 4 days a week, nearly every week. I competed with this squad for nearly six years. I am a two time national champion, including an individual national champion. Cheering became my life, until I was tumbling one day and came down on my neck. I have a severe mental block of cheerleading now, but it holds a special place in my heart. I help my old cheer coach, by working with her on teaching young kids the basics of cheer. I also played basketball every year of my life. I played softball, and also ran track. I have let my sports go so I could focus more on my concurrent college classes that I am taking. Athletics were a great part of my life, and I am very blessed with the talents God gave me.
