ATTRIBUTES
Academics
Through high school I have maintained a grade point average of 3.85. I have received 9 Reniassance Gold Cards meaning that I had a term average of at least a 91 and kept up exceptional attendance. Keeping up these good grades was not easy with all of the extra curricular activities I participate in. However I am determined to always do everything to the best of my ability and give 100%. I always study very hard for any exams and pride myself on giving everything my best effort. My grades throughout high school have shown that I am a serious student and I am always trying to learn more things and absorb more knowledge.
Arts
For my whole life, the art of dance had been extremely important to me. I began dancing when I was two years old and I have not stopped since. When I was six I was invited to be in my studios company and competition team and since then have been a regional and national champion with my elite team. At the age of thirteen I was offered a job as a studio assistant which has given me many teaching opportunities. This past summer I completed the three year Dance Education Training Course through the Dance Teachers Club of Boston. This was an extremeley rigorous course and not many people finish the full three years. This is now my fifteenth year dancing. I spend five days a week at my studio and hope to continue dancing in college.
Community Service
I have actively participated in community service through high school. As a member on the student council and as the current treasurer and previous vice president of my schools ECHO (Earth Culture Humanity Organization) Club, I have gotten many opportunities. For two years I have volunteered at the Red Cross blood drive, passing out food and drinks to ensure the donors safety. I also partcipated in the schools courtyard cleanup as well as the International Clean Up day at Salisbury Beach. As a dancer I have been a volunteer performer at charity benefits for the homeless and battered woman. This year I was also a volunteer in my schools fashion show to raise money for cancer research.
