Athletics

The thing that I am known for, throughout the entire county, is that I am a runner. I put my heart and soul into running. I spend hours scouring running magazines and books, looking for the perfect formula for maximum performance. In the end, it paid off. Last year during track I placed 2nd at indoor and outdoor states in the two mile, and 5th in the mile. This year in cross country won our county championship, stealing the county title. In addition, I came in 2nd at regionals, states, and the conference meet.

My journey hasnt always been easy. But through my dedication and passion, I have always conquered. I have learned what it means to be strong, and what it means to never give up on what you love.

Academics

Honors, Advanced, Enrichment. These words have always preceded everything that I am involved in. Since elementary school, I have always excelled academically. My high school transcript consists of only one B, and my GPA shoots through the roof at 4.2. I am in the top 15% of my class, and am actively involved in the NHS.

The same dedication that drives me to excel in cross country, is the same thing that motivates me to spend those late nights studying, and multiple SET sessions, trying to get one on one help with my teachers. I love learning new things, and have developed various skills that will help me as I continue my education.

Community Service

If theres one thing that my parents have taught me, is that selflessness is a blessing. I have carried this moral throughout my entire life. My involvment in NHS, is just one example of this. Through the year, the NHS does various community service projects. These include, the Relay For Life and our holiday campaign. During the holiday campaign, we collect canned goods and money donations from kids in our school to give to less fortunate families in our community. Ultimately we use alot of the donations to go shopping for kids who wouldnt get christmas presents otherwise. This is my favorite project, because it is so close to home. I know that somewhere near me, a child is going to have an awesome christmas because of the gift I bought for him.
