Athletics
I am a 12 year cheerleader, basketball player, and Captain of the Dance line, Majorette Team, and Cheerleading Team. The Dance Line won Gold at the 2012 Battle of the Dance Lines as well. I am also the Founder of my high schools Dance Team/ Club called Versatlie who was showcased at the BEFFTA Awards. I also am I two baton twirling majorette. I train with Precision Auxiliary Crop and the Spelman College Majorettes. I also place first in the 400 meter dash and second in the 600 meter race in track. While cheerleading I have cheered for the boys game and played basketball for the girls game so I was really great at balancing my responsibilities and duties as an athlete while keeping a high GPA.
Community Service
As a community volunteer in middle school, I helped the special needs students with communication skills, reading, sports and cooking activities. I also helped the Atlanta Fulton Public Library staff with encouraging students to read during the summer vacation and I also helped the staff with their students for their programs. In addition to that I helped clean the highway with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. In the summer time I was a Peer Mentor in the Freshman Bridge Program. My duties as a Peer Mentor included introducing them to teachers, getting them involved in clubs and activities, and giving advice on being successful throughout their high school career. I also spent some of my spare time in the summer helping clean up Grant Park and donate to Toys for Tots.
Other Achievements
I was 11th Grade Vice President, Miss 12th Grade 1st Attendant, and President of my 12th Grade British Literature Class. I am a member of SGA, FBLA, DECA, and HOSA. I am my school store Manager of Communication & Distribution for FBLA and I baked cupcakes for my high school for Valentines Day as Cupcake Grams to Support DECA. At my Spelman College Math and Science Summer Camp I won 1st Place in the Robot Building Competition. I also founded my high schools Dance Team/Club called Versatile and we were showcased in the Black Entertainment, Film, Fashion, Television, and Arts Awards. I also dance professionally with Mitchell Kelly who was the coach of my team and I danced in a hip hop video for Cool Breeze Ray ft Cali Swag District. I am the Captain of the Dance Line and Majorette Team.
