Academics
I try really hard on my academics. My GPA averages at a 3.7 each year. I have made the honor roll each time it has come around and have received a recognition known as an Athletic Scholarship that you have to maintain a 3.5 year- round to achieve. I am a part of the schools National Honor Society, Math Honor Society known as Mu Alpha Theta, and am honored as being senior class Vice President. I was recently honored at my school for being the female Wendy's Heisman award winner. At my Technical school I attend, I am a part of the National Technical Honor Society. There, I am in an Advanced Medical class where I have earned 100+ community hours. I am also in a group known as HOSA (Health Occupational Students of America) where I am the vice president.
Athletics
I am apart of three different teams in my high school. I play soccer, basketball, and softball. I am a two year letter man for soccer and for both basketball and softball I am a three year letter man. The softball team I was a part of was the first in our schools history to make it to the state tournament. Throughout my career in softball I have been first team ALL- state for two years and honorable mention ALL- state for one year. I have also been awarded with being named as part of our conferences first team ALL- LKC team for three years. My basketball team has also been very successful with making it to the state championship game twice, regional champions for two years, and LKC champions for three years. The soccer team I am on was recently awarded with a sportmanship award.
Community Service
I have more than 100 hours of community service and love doing it. My community service hours include me helping out at local basketball tournaments by working the concession stand or keeping track of the clock. I also hosted a softball camp with my dad and taught younger girls some techniques for softball. My basketball team also helped out the school and painted the girl’s locker room to make the space more clean and friendly. At my technical school I am a part of a class that goes to the local nursing home and helps out there. We spend our whole afternoons to help out whenever we can. I also go to the local elemtary schools and help out with the school nurses in whatever they need help with like; eye exams, teaching kids to wash their hands and learning the heart.
