ATTRIBUTES
Academics
Academics have always been what I excelled most in. I have been on the “A” Honor Roll since the 6th Grade. I have gotten an Academic Letter every year of high school. I have been enrolled in AP classes for the past two years and I am currently taking a college class. I received a 26 as my ACT composite score with sub scores of a 31 in reading, a 29 in English, a 22 in science, and a 20 in math. I did a lot better than I anticipated. My academics have always made me and my family proud. I have been AP English Student of the Year and Spanish Student of the Year. I have been offered to attend honor academies for my academics as well. I am a member of National Honor Society and I am currently number 10 in my class of 170.
Arts
Music is my life. I have been in choir since elementary school and have stayed faithful to it straight up to my Senior Year. I have gone to All-State and Honor Choir four times. My freshman year, I received Most Outstanding Choir Member which is a huge honor, especially since it is voted on by the choir kids and the director. I am a member of the top choir, Chamber Choir, where I am Vice President. Our Concert and Chamber Choirs are both known for being champions and dominating the Martinsburg Choral Competition. Concert and Chamber Choir also won a competition in Chicago my freshman year and won the Spirit of New York at the competition in the City my junior year.
Community Service
I have done a lot of community service over my high school years. Through school, we do Adopt-A-Family, Toys-For-Tots, and trash pick-up. Through 4-H, we do coat drives, collect pop tabs and pop cans, collect food and supplies for the local animal shelter, collect food for the food pantry, pick-up trash along the fairground trail, collect items for the troop link, collect plastic bags for the resource center, and Toys-For-Tots. Through Church, we collect food for the Food Pantry, collect pop tabs, and we do Adopt-A-Family. I love helping people in need and doing my part to make others feel as blessed as I am.
