ATTRIBUTES
Academics
I have been on honor roll every grading period of every year since third grade. I am a member of National Honor Society, and am also a tutor for students struggling in an academic area. I have had one of the most rigorous class schedules that my school offers since ninth grade. I have taken both traditional courses, meaning in an actual classroom, and have taken courses through my district's cyber school. I am piloting a cyber class for my school to help decide whether the class will be offered in the upcoming school years. Currently, I am taking a college class at Allegheny College in Meadville, PA even though I am only a high school senior. I had a combined score of 1910 on my SAT scores. I am fourth in my class of 190 students.
Arts
Music is my passion. I started playing piano at five years old, and then developed a love for the clarinet at the age of eleven. I attended Jr. High District Band festivals in eighth and ninth grade. I then attended and competed at Sr. High District and Region festivals in tenth and eleventh grade. I will be competing again this January. In addition to competing, I am also deeply involved in my high school's concert band. I have been in marching band for six years, and was the marching band's drum major for two years. Also, I have participated in my school's pep band for five years, and jazz band for one. In addition to music, I have also been dancing for thirteen years, taking lessons in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, and acrobatics. I also competed in dance for four years.
Government
It is my dream to become a lawyer, and one day persue the highest elected office in the nation; President of the United States. In order to achieve that goal, I started young. I have held numerous officer positions in my high school clubs, including the office of President, Vice President, and Secretary. I am on the Senior Executive Committee in my high school. Also, I have participated on my high school's PA Mock Trial for three years. I was awarded Best Witness of the trial twice and Best Attorney three times. Finally, this past summer I worked with the Crawford County Republican Party for local, state and national campaigns. I aided in registering voters and walking in parades. The experience was a major part of my senior project, along with job shadowing elected officials in my county.
