Community Service
I have had the opportunity to serve others with my youth group for years. My youth group and I have been a part of various service projects including, but not limited to, going on four, week long out of state missions trips to places around the United States including, Copperhill Tennessee, Grand Rapids Michigan, Nashville Tennessee, and Indianapolis Indiana, where I participated in serving at a women's shelter/children's club, working at a camp for inner city children, fixing worn down houses, serving the elderly in nursing homes, and more. I have also been involved in the following service projects with my youth group, Raising money for starving children through a program called the 30hr famine, Habitat for Humanity, visiting @ local nursing homes, and more. I also serve at my school.
Faith
My Faith means everything to me! I was raised in a Christian home, and Home schooled from grades 1 -10. I went to public school starting my junior year, because the summer before, I went on a week long retreat to a youth camp in New York State with my youth group where I realized I could'n't share my faith because I was home. I prayed and decided to go to public school. The transition was great and I have brought many of my friends from school to my youth group. During my first year at Public school I got involved with my school's Bible study. I am now a senior and I lead my high school's Bible study. I never would have thought I would be leading a Bible study at school! I am very involved with my church and youth group. I will be going to Malone University in 2013, to be a Youth Pastor.
