Academics
I am number four in my class of seventy-eight people. My grade point average is a 3.89. The top five people range between three hundredths of a point away from eachother and I am hoping to advance to number three, or better yet two. This year I am taking AP Physics, AP English, and AP Calculus. I have taken three years of Spanish. My ACT score from Junior year was a 25 and I am retaking it this December for a higher score. I am making all A's and so far have been on the A Team and Honor Roll for the past four years straight. I have taken all of my required classes and I will graduate distinguished and on the honor program.
Arts
I am the president of the Art Club at my school. I plan to major in Art Education. Both of my grandparents are artists and several of my other family members as well. Realism and Cartoons are my strong points but I am recently learning to master painting. We have experimented with mixed media and various techniques. As well as visual arts I am also in the marching band, concert band, jazz band, and have made the honor band and all region band. Our marching band made it to area last year. I play the Clarinet, Baritone, Trombone, Trumpet, and Marching French Horn. I have participated in the theatre arts plays for the past four years. I preformed in one and was crew for the other three years.
Community Service
I am President of the National Honor Society at my school. I am a member of the student council. I was a member of FCCLA my freshman year. I also attended EYL camp where we discussed several ways to improve our community. We devised plans that we have been working on for the past two years. Every year the student council does canned food drives, we also arrange care packages. The National Honor Society worked at the shelter last year around thanksgiving. We gave away clothes, blankets and food. We go to the nursing home a couple of times a month and play bingo with the local Nursing Home residents. The Student Council puts up flags for businesses around town on all patriotic days.
