Academics
I am currently a high school senior at Sayville High School in Long Island. I am ranked 17 out of 290 students. My GPA is 103. I am currently taking 5 AP courses and have already taken 4 AP's as well, passing them all. I take my school work were seriously and always put my best effort forward as my goal is to attend an Ivy League University. I received a 1950 on my SAT and have been inducted into the AP Advance Honors Society as well as the National Honor Society. My desire to to well in school started at a young age and led me to advance classes in both the middle and high school.
Athletics
As an elementary student I played soccer, lacrosse and ran track. I loved running and am highly competitive. When I entered the middle school I was exposed to field hockey and that became my passion. In middle school I played field hockey and lacrosse for my school and also for club teams. I traveled in the summer for tournaments, showcases and games. As an eight grader I ran varsity track, but decided to pursue field hockey which has no off season for those competitive ones. I was a freshman starter on both field hockey and lacrosse and led our county as high scorer on Long Island for the 2011-2012 season. I hope to lead my field hockey team to a title this year. I love the camaraderie with my teammates. Ohana our slogan means family.
Community Service
I believe in giving back to my community and am an active member of various clubs in our school as well. I am Director of Communications for the Anchor Club which provides many services to special education students in our community, as well as hold holiday fun functions for the children. As a member of the Anchor Club we serve dinners at the soup kitchen, collect neccessities for the soldiers and families in need. The multitude of people we assist is amazing as well as the thank you's we receive. I am also secretary for Art Honor Society as well. I was also approached by guidance counselors and had training on speaking to incoming freshman about suicide prevention.
