Academics
Throughout my academical years of school in America I have held up a standard of excellence. When I first entered the system in mid-eight grade year, I was an Honor Roll student along with being a Principal's List student (4.0 student) for all 3 quarters. When I then moved up to an high school level I did not allow this vision of excellence to fade but I kept it up and achieved a Honor Roll all years 9-10 then in 11th grade stepped up my game enrolling in 2 AP classes and being on Principle's List (4.0) for the first 3 Quarters then achieving a 4.25 in the 4th Quarter. These great achievements of my High school years have me qualified me for induction into both the National Honors Society, and the Math Honors Society chapters for my high school of which both I accepted
Arts
Born to a musically talented father and a mother who insisted my siblings and I learnt from him I began playing the piano at age 5. This allowed me to learn the fundamentals of music theory by age 10. I joined my school's cultural performance group in the 6th grade performing for tourists when they arrived in Jamaica. I joined the choir in the 7th grade developing my passion for musical performance. Ever since the 8th grade I have been a part of a prestigious choir that excels at regional through state festivals with superior scores. My present choir is now planning a trip, on which I will be going, to join a South African musical tour in which we were invited.
Community Service
I have been involved with my church’s community service group for about 3 years. What our group does is gather food from a pantry and pack boxes that is distributed to the nursing home in which my church owns and also to families in the community surrounding it. I participate in the GreenDrive Paper Recycle Push my school’s National Honors Society hosts every Tuesday and Thursday morning. We encourage and collect paper from the offices, classrooms, and copy rooms around the school then recycle them. I also participate in the National Honors Society's Tutoring program. We tutor students who need help with High School Assessment classes, such as Biology, Algebra 1, and English 10, and other classes that one has previously passed with a high score.
