ATTRIBUTES
Academics
I have been an honor roll student since the 6th grade. I have been enrolled in dual courses since my junior year. I made a 34 on the reading section of my ACT and on my most recent test results scored a 29 overall. I have been a member of both the Junior National Beta Club and the Senior National Beta Club, recognized for their excellence in acedemic merit. I have a 97. 94 GPA and am within the top 25% of my graduating class. I also participated in the TMTA's mathematics competition in spring of 2012 sponsored by Tennessee Tech University. During my sophomore year I was enrolled in an engineering course that was part of Project Lead the Way in coordination with Tennessee Tech University.
Arts
I am extremely devoted to my artwork. Though few to no classes have been offed in the arts at my school, I have worked very hard to improve my skills on my own. Many freetime drawings have been hung on my teacher's walls. My father taught me skills that I have worked to shape on my own time. It is a passion that seems to be inborn and that I will cherish for the rest of my life I hope to be an art major in college so I can further my talents and passions into the workforce. It is a desire that I alone have nurtured and a dream that I think of nearly everyday. In fact, whilst volunteering at the local public library I become the crafts director of the Summer Reading Program this past summer, allowing me to help young children create their own works of art.
Community Service
I have been a member of Beta and Future Business Leaders of America which are devoted to making communities a better place through their club chapters. In coordintation with these clubs I have made many donations to the local nursing home, food drives, and many other community outreach ideas. Also, this summer I volunteered at the public library to read to young children for the Tennessee Summer Reading Program. I also allot a huge amount of my time into the football team at our school, cleaning and taking care of their fieldhouse, uniforms, and other paraphenelia as well as being their film technician for 2 years. I hold leadership position's in several clubs including Math, Science, and FCCLA.
