ATTRIBUTES
Academics
I have been on the highest honor roll grades 9-12. I was selected to be a junior escort for graduation. Only the top 5% of juniors at my school were collected. I am a member of National Honor Society and French Honor Society. I received the AP Scholar with Distinction early into the 12th grade. I have also received the Wellesley Book Award from Wellesley College for academic achievement. I also received an award for Excellence in English my 9th grade year. I placed 12th in the nation and 6th in the state of Colorado on the National French Exam in the 11th grade.
Arts
I have been taking private voice lessons for 5 years. Prior to that, I took private piano and violin lessons and was selected as a member of the Denver Youth Orchestra for my 6th grade year. I have sung in choirs all four years in high school. I have been in Girls' 21, the top auditioned women's choir at my school for the 11th and 12th grades. We have toured internationally and performed throughout Colorado. Last year, I was elected as an officer for the 2012-2013 school year.
Government
I have been in Model UN for grades 9-12. I was an officer in grades 10-11 and was elected Secretary-General (President) for my 12th grade year. I have participated in many meets and have won multiple awards, including 3 first place awards. I also traveled as a representative to the National High School Model United Nations tournament in New York City.
I have also volunteered for Barack Obama's campaign, around 18 hours total. I am also a member of Young Democrats and Political Awareness Club.
