12th Grade, WY
I have been an honor roll student ever since the seventh grade. My G.P.A. has never once dropped below 3.5. I currently have a G.P.A. of 3.88. My class rank at the moment is 2/24. Two years ago, I was nominated by my teachers to go into the National Honors Society because of my outstanding grades. My ACT Composite Score was 26 but my math score was a 30. Following my sophmore and junior year, I was named the Most Outstanding Spanish student for Spanish II and Spanish III. During those same years, I participated in the national History Days competition and placed at the local competition. In my sophomore year, I had a PLAN composite score of 24 out of 32.
I have participated in every possible sport since coming into middle school in the sixth grade. I have played football, basketball, and track for seven years and participated in middle school wrestling for three. For football, I have been one of the co-captains for the past two years and was a co-captain in basketball last year. In 2012, I was named to the All-Conference baskteball team and All-State track. I was also invited to participate in the Wyoming Track Classic, which is a meet that only chooses ten of the best athletes in a event. In 2011, the football team I play on made it to the quarterfinals in the state football playoff. I have also participated in two United States Tennis Association tennis tournaments on my own free time since my school doesn't offer tennis as a sport.
I have participated in band and choir for the past four years of high school. I have been selected to play trombone at the Wyoming All-State Band for three years and the Southeast District Honor Band for two years. I performed a trombone solo for the past three years at the Southeast District Festival in Cheyenne and recieved a superior rating twice and an excellent rating once. The trio I performed in for choir recieved a superior rating for our piece at the Southeast District Festival. I am also currently taking jazz band. I plan to try out for the Wyoming All-State band, All-State jazz band, and the Northwest Wind Symphony in the near future.
