ATTRIBUTES
Academics
Academics is one of the top attributes that I excel in, because I am dedicated to my school work and put numerous hours and a great effort into everything I work toward. Throughout high school, I have been in the top 10% of my graduating class, and have made all "A" honor roll each year. In addition, my junior year I got accepted into National Honor Society. Something else that I am extremely proud of is my Certified Nurse Aide (C.N.A.) certification that I obtained my junior year as well. This has given me a great head start to my future career in the medical field as I will attend Texas A&M University Kingsville in the fall of 2013 where I hope to get accepted into the Irma Lerma Rangel Pharmacy School.
Community Service
Community service is another big attribute that defines who I am, due to the amount of time I commit to clubs and organization both inside and outside of school in which are all about community service. Being that I hope to go into the medical field, working as a junior volunteer at Christus Spohn Hospital for two summers, not only gained me 76 hours, but experience as well. Over 100 more hours were received doing other activities such as creating food baskets for families in need, gathering and shipping items to deployed soldiers, and working at school functions. All of these events have been associated with Spanish Club, 4-H, Bluebonnet Drama Club, or G-force.
Green
Just recently since I have been in high school, have I realized the importance of helping the community and doing things for the better of my surroundings. Recycling has been something that I never thought to much about before, but has gradually grown to become a hobby of mine. The more I began to recycle the more of a habit it became, and before I knew it, I would have about two huge boxes filled a week in which I take to the local recycling center. Noticing its impact on the community has even got me collecting items at school. Even simple things like empty water bottles which may not seem like much, but in reality its one of those things in which every little thing counts.
