Work
I am a young business owner. I have actually created my very own dance studio for children ages 2- 15 called, Dancing Angels.It is located in a small town and has created a lot of opportunity and exercise for all students involved. Dancing Angels is the only dance studio close enough for working parents to coveniently transport their child to and from class, so I know that our parents are happy. I am also the lead dance instructor and I assist with Costume Design. I have a lot of experience working with others and managing fast paced environments. I feel so blessed that I have created my own way of expressing myself as well as making a difference in the lives of others. I am happy to share my passion for dance with another generation!
Athletics
Long before Dancing Angels studio was created I cheered and danced constantly. I have been a cheerleader and dancer for over 14 years. I've been apart of 4 different studios and 3 different cheer gyms all at one time. I eventually realized that I had to choose and select carefully because I knew I had to focus on school. I have been awarded honors for exceling in leadership through both dance and cheer. I was also selected captain/leader over my team at Pryme Time Athletics. Through all of this I have learned that hard work does pay off, but sometimes one must sacrifice in order to move forward. Nothing has taught me more than being a part of dance and cheer. It really brought me further in the long run.
Other Achievements
I am very proud of creating the first high school dance team in town during my freshman year of high school. I have always been passionate about dance and I often wondered why our school never had a dance team so I officially decided to create one. I went to my mother and told her of my plan and she was very supportive. So we both went to my principle and the three of us sat in his conference room and spoke about coaches, money, sponsors, and tryouts. My mother and I were very familar with coaches around the area so we arranged for the first Dance Team tryouts to take affect that upcoming year. I am also apart of my high school cosmetology department. I will graduate high school with not only my diploma, but also a license to be a professional cosmetologist while working in college.
