Academics
I take great pride in all my academic activities. I am currently ranked 3rd of 84 in my class, on track to become valedictorian. My cumulative GPA is 4.13. I am also currently a National Merit Semi-finalist and member of the National Society of High School Scholars. My standardized testing results are also one of my proudest academic achievements. My composite ACT score is a 34 and my composite SAT is 2260 (1530 CR + M), each putting me in the top 1% of the nation.
Community Service
Community service has always been a huge part of my life. From a young age I have always been involved with my church, whether it is helping in a soup kitchen, volunteering for VBS, or picking up litter. More recently, I was also a founding member of the Youth Philanthropy Initiative of Knox County Ohio. Students were chosen to represent their high schools from around the county. First, we surveyed hundreds of students from around the county to find out the issues teens are having. Then, we review grant applications from nonprofit organizations and give money to those we think will improve the lives of youth in our county. We also do volunteer work in an attempt to better our community.
Athletics
Athletics are also something I am also good at. I have run track all four years of high school, cross-country from 10th to 12th grades, and basketball in 9th and 10th grades. Last year, we were the third cross-country team in our schools history to make it to the regional competition. I have earned 2 letters in each of cross-country and track.
