ATTRIBUTES
Academics
In academics i have a 4.0 GPA and im in the top 10% of my graduating class. I take, and have taken honors classes such as Honors Anatomy and Physiology, Honors Pre Calculus, Honors English II, Honors Physics, Honors Chemistry, Honors Biology, and a few more select honors classes. Furthermore, I have kept all As throughout my High School career. Other courses I have taken are: Spanish 1 & 2, Pre-Ap Computer Science, Art 1 & 2, Broadcast Journalism 1,2,3. I participate in U.I.L. Acedemic competitions such as Current Issues & Events and Informative Speaking. I have also participated in U.I.L. Debate. Im an active member in the National Honor Society, and I am the President of my chapter. I will elaborate on my NHS participation in the Community Service blurb. Thank you for reading,Blake Smith
Work
I work very hard at my school work, athletics, and maintain a job outside of school. I have worked for my Grandmother's business, Ruth's All Occasion Decorating and Catering, as a laborer, cook, and waiter. I was basically a jack of all trades. Then i recieved my lifeguard, first-aid, and CPR certification and became a lifeguard for a few months. Then i moved on to another job with a little bit better pay. I moved too, and now work at Gander Mountain in Beaumont, Texas and I am a Fishing Sales associate there. I work hard too help customers and maintain a proffesional approach to everything. Community Service
I am a member of the National Honor Society, Buna Chapter. I was inducted into the National Honor Society my Sophomore year and have been active ever since. I helped participate, and organize a service project called "Christmas Challenge." During Christmas Challenge we helped raise over 10,000 dollars for needy children, and families around our community. This year i was elected President of the Buna chapter of the National Honor Society. I plan to continue my hard work and dedication in the NHS this year and help continue Christmas Challenge.
