ATTRIBUTES
Academics
I have been on honor roll every year since sixth grade. I have had a 4.0 GPA every year since seventh grade. I am currently taking three AP classes, and two honors classes. I have also taken AP and honor classes in the past, and I intend to take them in the future as well. I have been in the National Honor Society for two years. I also was nominated to participate in a freshman orientation club, to help ease the transition for the ninth graders coming from middle school into high school.
Arts
I have been playing piano for a total of eight years, starting when I was in 2nd grade. I have been a band member since the beginning of 6th grade. In middle school I played the clarinet for concert band and the piano for jazz band. In 8th grade, I became the drum major for the middle school marching band. I loved band so much I continued on in high school. For high school, I played the clarinet for concert band and pep band; the baritone for marching band and pep band (I switched between the clarinet and baritone for pep band); and the piano for marching band. In 11th grade, I became the drum major for the marching band. Outside of school I also have private piano lessons on a weekly basis, and have recitals every other month. I enjoy performing and intend to stick with it into college.
Athletics
From 3rd grade to 9th grade, I had been swimming for a competitive swim team. Swim meets were held about once a month, and I got a variety of ribbons, ranging from bronze to gold. I also swam varsity my freshman year in high school. For the past four years, I have also been playing fast-pitch at the club level for two teams, the Washington Bulldogs, and the Washington Synergy. This past year, on the WA Synergy team, we made it to ASA Western 16u A Nationals and placed in the top 10. I have also been playing ball for school since 7th grade, making the varsity team multiple years; 7th grade, 8th grade, and 10th grade. This past year on my school fast-pitch team, I was awarded most improved from the varsity coach. In my spare time, I have started running and intend to run in a 5K this fall.
