12th Grade, TX
ATTRIBUTES
Academics
I have been a homeschooled student since second grade, and all my life I have worked hard to keep up good grades in order to be able to compete with my peers who attend public schools. As of the conclusion of my 11th grade year I have maintained a 4.0 GPA. I have taken the ACT three times, scoring my highest (29) on my most recent one, and aiming for a 32 on my next attempt in October 2012. In addition, I scored an 1880 on the SAT this past June. I have also taken Latin for almost nine years and have been a three-time participant in the National Latin Exam.
Athletics
I have been a participant in the local AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization) since I was in fourth grade. This past year I also taught a three-day soccer clinic for children ages 5-9, teaching them basic soccer skills and helping each one focus on individual skills they needed to develop. In my 11th grade year I also participated in a 3v3 soccer tournament that raised funds for a local girl battling cancer. My team placed fourth and raised over $1000.
Faith
My faith plays an important part in my life and I am always looking for ways to better myself and help others. Every summer I travel to Washington, New Hampshire and attend a Catholic Leadership camp that focuses on leadership skills. These skills include public speaking, first-aid, educating children, designing visuals as teaching aids, and personal meditation. Also, for the past two years I have traveled to Washington, D.C. to attend the annual March for Life with a youth group from Connecticut. Twice a year I travel to San Antonio, Texas to participate in a 40 Days for Life Program.
