Academics
Ever since the first day of Kindergarten, I've been the overachieving type. I never accepted second best, and if I did come in second best I would strive to make it to the top. I have always excelled in all of my classes, take Honors and AP Courses throughout middle school and high school. I attend a Mega-Magnet school, where I am one of the Top 5 Juniors/Seniors in the Legal and Public Services Academy. I have never failed a class and I push myself to make my courses more rigorous each year. I am currently enrolled in a Dual Enrollment program at Florida International University, where I am taking an English class and an Excel course. These two classes were given to me by my high school because of my GPA.
Green
The environment is very important to me because I want to make sure that my family lives on a planet that is healthy enough to sustain them. I live by the words ,"Reduce, Reuse, Recycle." I am running my own project of collecting cans from the CountCans.org program, and I encourage my parents to recycle everyday. All of our light bulbs are energy efficient, and we use as little water as possible. Any product we buy that is plastic is recycled, if I don't find another use for it. My proudest recycling moment was when I made ten Christmas decorations for my home from recycled products. Everyone complimented my mom on the decor. Another achievement would be the pamphlet I created for the IDEAS club at my school. The pamphlet educated my schoolmates on the importance of environmental laws.
Other Achievements
Coral Reef Senior High School is the Mega-Magnet I attend, and I am part of the Legal and Public Services Academy. I enrolled here because I have wanted to become an attorney since I was seven years old. For three years, I was the scribe for the classroom where I made sure all of the assignments and exams were kept on record. According to my lead teacher, never had he seen such perfect organizational skills from a high school student. I carried the class of thirty-two students on my back, plus the clubs I was a member of. I was elected secretary of the BarraLegals club, and secretary for the "We The People" Constitutional Club. At Graduation, I will graduate with a Legal Assistant License granted to me thanks to my four years of Criminal Justice. Getting closer to my goal of justice.
