ATTRIBUTES
Academics
I strive to maintain excellent grades and a high GPA. I have a 4.2 on a 4.5 scale and I am in the National Honor Society at my school. I am 34th out of my junior class of 452, meaning that I am in the top 7 percentile range. I have been a hard worker all my life and have had nothing lower than a B on my report card. I want to become a doctor so keeping my grades up is very important to me. I also want to get into every college I apply to, so I definitely strive for excellent grades, and sometimes, an A- is not good enough because I want to do my best and I feel like I can excel past an A-. Overall, my grades are an important part of my life and I will keep working hard every day to keep them up and improve them as well.
Community Service
Community service has also become a huge part of my life recently. I am involved in four service clubs at my school. Those clubs are: National Honor Society, Key Club, Interact Club, and Link Crew. I am one of the highest standing members of the National Honor Society and President of Interact Club, meaning that I have been very active and involved in these clubs. I also participated in the Walk for Hope in DC for Brain Cancer in honor of my classmate, David, for Interact Club. Aside from the service clubs in school, I volunteer at a hospital four hours a week outside of school as well, racking up about 100 hours so far. It feels very rewarding to assist patients with anything they might need. Because of these experiences, I don’t think I ever want to stop volunteering.
Athletics
I love to be outside and exercise. Athletics is a really fun way to keep me in shape, and I enjoy it a lot. I play soccer for the county and I have been playing for eleven years now. I was also involved in gymnastics, swimming, roller skating, and dance when I was younger. However, soccer became my number one sport when my dad decided to sign me up when I was six years old and I have stuck with it ever since. I played for my high school team for two years as well. I was a defender up until high school when my coach put me at forward, and I had no idea what I was doing. But now I thank her for switching my position because now I love scoring goals during every game I play. Soccer is something I definitely would like to pursue for as long as I can.
