ATTRIBUTES
Academics
I uphelp straight A's in elementary school. In middle school, I only received three B's. In high school, I have maintained a 4.3 GPA while taking Honors Geometry, Honors English 11, 10, and 9, ACP Biology 2, and ACP U.S. History. I have taken Spanish and succeeded in that also for the past five years! I also received the Scholar-Athlete Award for maintaining my GPA during the basketball season. I may end up having enough credits after my senior year of high school that I could possibly enter college as a sophomore.
Athletics
I started playing sports in 5th and 6th grade. I played volleyball, basketball, and ran track. In middle school, I decided to run cross country instead of play volleyball. I did well in cross country and received many ribbons stating my success. Those same years I chose to stick with basketball and track. I became very talented in both of those sports. I was given an MVP trophy in basketball in 7th and 8th grade. In track, my 4x1 team got first in the Big 11 tournament and I got second in high jump! Then, in high school I decided that I was best at basketball. I was named MVP my freshman year on the JV team and now I'm a team captain on the varsity team and I am being recruited by colleges in the area. These past two summers I also attended a IHSAA student leadership conference.
Community Service
I started doing community service late in the game, so to say. I was not truly involved with community service or volunteer work until my freshman year of high school. Every summer, I spend a whole week coaching girls in grades 1-3 and 4-6 at a basketball camp held at my high school. During my junior year of high school, I was nominated and chosen to be apart of my high school's National Honor Society. With that, I have given my time to a Nursing home, building a house for Habitat for Humanity, a bake sale and money collection for Make-a-Wish foundation, hiding Easter eggs for a group of kids, and raising money and holding a bake sale for Relay for Life. For my senior year, I was chosen to be the National Honor Society Treasurer.
