Academics
I have held an unweighted GPA of a 4.0 ever since my freshman year, and I am ranked number one in my class. I have also been awarded Magna Cum Laude, the highest academic honor my high school bestows, every year. I am currently in competition to become a National Merit Semifinalist based off of my PSAT score, which is in the top three percentile nationally. On my SAT I scored a 2100, with a 780 on the writing portion. During my junior year, I completed two Advanced Placement classes, one Honors class, and two dual credit classes. I scored perfect fives on both of my AP exams. This year I will be taking three more AP classes, along with one Honors class.
Athletics
Entering my senior year, I have already received two varsity letters in both volleyball and track and field. I have been named Academic All-city twice in both sports. My high school volleyball team has advanced to the regional finals the past two years. Outside of high school volleyball, I have played club volleyball for four years. This past season my club team attended AAU Nationals in Orlando, Florida. I am in the running for the Champions of Heart Award, which honors female athletes who are outstanding in athletics and academics. I have recently committed to play volleyball at an NCAA Division One college.
Community Service
I am currently involved in the Teen Advisory Council, otherwise known as TAC. This local program promotes service to the community and a better understanding of the local government. I complete at least fifteen hours of community service each semester for TAC. I also attend meetings every other week to discuss potential community improvements and plan fundraisers. Through my high school, I am involved in the service club. I also received the Leadership Award, which honors high school students for their involvement and commitment to their community. Finally, I work with my elementary school’s volleyball teams as a volunteer coach.
