ATTRIBUTES
Academics
I was on distinguished honor roll all three years of middle school and superior honor roll in my past three years of high school. I am in National Honor Society. I have taken various Honors and AP courses as well as high math courses. I scored a 1530 on my SAT that I took in the winter of my Junior year. I am a determined, hard worker and wont take any grade below a B. I am an overachiever. I take advantage of all extra credit assignments or chances to re-take tests or quizzes. I work well with my classmates but also enjoy working alone. Along with National Honor Society, I am a leader in Student Council and am Class Secretary for my Senior Class, the class of 2013.
Faith
I attend Grace EC Church every Sunday. I have attended this church since I was a baby. I was baptized in this church, raised in this church, and in the future hope to get married and continue attending this church. My father has also attended this church since he was little and still attends with my mother whom he married in Grace EC Church almost 22 years ago. My grandparents also attend this church and I consider everyone else who attends to be a part of my extended family. I am an offering usher and child care provider at my church. I participate in the church's youth group and am a group leader for children at Vacation Bible School over the summer. Christianity is very important in my family and to me.
Work
I have had two jobs since I started High School. My first job was student custodian over the summer at my high school. I worked with a team of eight people to clean classrooms, the cafeteria, the gym, and offices in the school. I never really appreciated custodians until I experienced the hard, dirty work that they have to do. I worked as a student custodian for two summers. This past summer, student custodians were not in the budget so I had to look for a new job. It was very difficult to find a job this summer with the state of the economy, but my prayers were answered when a teacher assistant had contacted me to tell me that she had a friend who needed a babysitter. She recommend me based on my performance in school, both academic and character. I got the job and enjoy it very much!
