Academics
I have maintained a 3.82 cumulative GPA taking many AP classes throughout my high school experience. I also am in advanced math and science meaning starting in 6th grade I began taking math and science classes a level higher than my regular grade level should be taking. Starting my junior year I became an International Baccalaureate candidate at my school. I am taking a rigorous course selection which includes at least 6 AP or International Baccalaureate classes each semester. I got a 1920 on my first SAT and am working hard to prepare for my next SAT which I will take in the fall. I got a 4 on my AP Language test this last spring and above a 5 on both my International Baccalaureate standard level french test and physics test.
Community Service
I have been participating in the American Cancer Association's Relay for Life every year since 5th grade. Starting in 8th grade I became a team captain every year where I spent time organizing and setting up events as well as recruiting and communicating with fellow teammates. I have received over 40 hours of community service for this event just for my freshman and sophomore year. I also volunteer for a Middle East Peace Camp for children that brings together Jewish and Arab children and teaches them peace. I work on the planning team as well as help out at the annual week long camp itself. I have received a total of 60 hours of community service with this organization.
Athletics
I have done dance since I was 7 years old. Starting in Ballet, then hip-hop and then ballroom dance. Starting in high school I was a part of the Interlake drill team which is a very competitive and disciplined dance team that got second in state. I then became a part of the Interlake cheer team which I am currently captain of. I work with my other two captains and our coach to choreograph routines and performances. I also coordinate events and fundraisers as well as maintain and organize paperwork.
