ATTRIBUTES
Academics
I have a GPA of a 3.8 on a 4.0 scale and I am in the top 8% of my class of 650 students. I have taken multiple AP classes and I will continue to do so, and have also received A's and B's on all of my report cards. The only B I have received has been for my AP classes. I am a very hardworking student who always turns in her work. I received a 32 on the reading portion of the ACT and a 28 composite score. My SAT score was a 1960 but I will be taking it again in the fall to hopefully surpass the 2000s. I am also actively involved in the National Honors Society at my school. I also tutor some friends in subjects that I have already taken and have been very successful with their grades.
Athletics
I have been involved in swimming and water polo since my freshman year in high school. I was on junior varsity my first year and then I made Varsity my sophomore year where I have stayed ever since. I also play water polo and am one of the most experienced/valuable players on the team. My position is typically a flat or a wing, wherever I am needed at the time. We also held elections the last few weeks of school and myself and my friend have been nominated as next years team co-captains for the entire varsity team. I am very confident in my abilities to lead my teammates to victory. I also received the TISCA academic all state award which combines athleticism and academics, only two others on my team made it.
Community Service
I am actively involved in the Interact Club and National Honors Society at my school for the past two years, both clubs require community service. I like to volunteer at sporting events such as the Special Olympics or local track meets or schools around the area. I have been in Girl Scouts all my life and recently I have received the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest achievement a Girl Scout can receive which is also an equivalent to the Eagle Scout award. Less than one percent of girls who ever join girl scouts ever receive this title. I renovated a local facility for my project which added up to a total of 83 hours over a course of just a few months.
