ATTRIBUTES
Academics
I am a member of National Honor Society. I have taken 5 dual credit classes (BCIS, Child Development, US History, Government, and Economics) from Austin Community College. I received a 4 on my AP English Composition test. I am enrolled in AP AB Calculus and AP English 4 for the upcoming school year. I am ranked in the first quartile, 100/591. I received a 1700 on my SAT and a 25 on the ACT. I have been taking all Pre-AP and AP classes since 7th grade. I also participated in UIL Spelling and overall as a team scored 2nd place.
Community Service
I was a member in Key Club in the 2009-2010 year. I have been a member of STAGE (Standing Together Against Genocide Everywhere) for 3 years, with my 4th year upcoming. We hold various fundraisers such as bake sales and Invisible Children screenings to raise money for Africa. This year we are focusing on having a book drive to provide children in Africa with several books to read. I am also a member of Interact Club, which is part of Rotary Club. Each year we do one national service project and we do a community service project monthly. Last year we participated in Shower Strike which is a vow to not shower until we raised at least a $1,000. We also participated in Blue Santa and at Chuy's Children Parade.
Other Achievements
During my Freshman year I was Co-Founder of Sierra Student Coalition. I also joined UIL Spelling and have been since. In my Sophomore year i became a member of Student Council and Latin Club. I was also a Leadership Experience Nominee, a district wide search for the high school students with leadership potential. My Junior year I was elected Secretary in Student Council for Secretary of the Class of 2013 and Secretary for Student Body. I was inducted into NHS during my Junior year. I also joined Interact Club, and was nominated Secretary for the upcoming year. I'm also part of Prom Committee and Homecoming Committee. I also help organize Adopt-A-Child, where a child in need gets assigned to a high school class in which they throw the child a party and give them presents and items they need
