ATTRIBUTES
Faith
I have been a member of Temple Ahavat Shalom since I was two years old. I am an active volunteer and a teacher assistant at their Sunday school. Beyond that I am also the president of our youth group nicknamed NASTY. Similarly I am the Jewish Student Union president at my school. I am infatuated with my temple and its members and hope to continue to be an active member throughout college.
Academics
I am an excellent student. I take challenging courses and excel in all of them. I take hard courses all over the academic spectrum. I have taken AP World History, AP US History, AP Language, AP Psychology and plan to take AP Government, AP Calculus, AP Literature, and AP Economics (micro and macro). With all these classes I have managed to only get one B in all of High School. I currently have a 4.86 weighted GPA and am 11 in a class of 544 students.
Other Achievements
Beyond academics and religion I am a true leader. In 7th grade I started a non-profit charity named Kids Kan. As the head of the organization I organized 3 bike-a-thons for different charities, participated in two Relay for Life events and premoted many other related events. Currently I serve as Historian for the Children's Heart Foundation, an organization that deals with congenital heart defects. I also have leadership positions with Rho Kappa (History Honor Society) and serve as their Historian. I am also the Jewish Student Union president at my school. I have started two clubs at my school: the Creative Writing club and the Engineering Honor Society which is the first of its kind and will hopefully be expanding throughout Florida and the rest of the US.
