ATTRIBUTES
Academics
I am a rising senior at Marietta High School. I currently have a weighted 3.75 GPA & an unweighted 3.5 GPA. I am enrolled in the International Baccalaureate program, which consists of the most rigorous classes offered at my school. I've taken many college level courses, helping prepare me for college such as IB World Lit/History, Economics, Advanced Placement US History, IB Math Standard Level, up to IB Spanish IV and many more. I am a member of the National Beta Club, which requires a strong 3.5 GPA. I am also expected to join the National Honor Society for Spanish this upcoming year. I have been awarded in Latin for maintaing an A average throughout the school year as well. Hence, my SAT scores attest to this as I have achieved an impressive 1920 on my second attempt.
Athletics
I am a member of the Varsity Track & Field team. I am among the top 5 fastest girls in my team, running a time of 13.34 in the 100 meter dash and a 28.11 in the 200 meter dash, with little to no preparation. I have ran track consistently since I was 6 years old, while also participating in basketball and softball. With more training, I am expected to exceed expectations in the next season.
Community Service
I was a member of many breast cancer walks and have contributed to feeding the homeless for Thanksgiving on numerous occasions. My freshman year in high school, I was among the many students contributing in helping Haiti recover from devastation by collecting, donating, and delivering a hugely significant amount of water bottles and other necessary items. Recently, I became a member of a community service group at my school called STARS (Sisters Together Achieving Real Success). We volunteer our time at elementary schools on Saturdays throughout the school year, in order read to younger students and enhance their success in reading comprehension. Also, as a member of the Beta Club, I am expected to interact with soldiers overseas with holiday letters of endearment.
