ATTRIBUTES
Academics
I have been on either honor roll or the Principal's list since 7th grade. I have taken honors English since my Freshman year, and I will be taking AP Language and Composition in my upcoming senior year. I scored an overall 1740 on my SAT. I am also in the French National Honor Society, and the National Art Honor Society. In Fall of 2012 I plan on applying to the National Honor Society. My overall GPA has never been lower than a 3.7 and my class rank is in the top 25%.
Arts
I have been helping out in the art community since my Freshman year. This upcoming year will be my 3rd year in the National Art Honor Society, and I am planning on running for President, considering last year I held the position of secretary. I helped them raise money for a scholarship for a senior by attending art shows, painting murals in our school's hallways, and selling homemade Christmas cards to students. I also have played the violin for 6 years and was in my school's orchestra for 4 years.
Community Service
In the summer of 2010, I traveled abroad with People to People Student Ambassador program to 6 different countries in Europe for 19 days. While in Ireland, I helped cut peat for the natives who use it as heat. I also helped out on a dairy farm in the Netherlands. I am also a member of FBLA and have been for 2 years. With them I do Breakfast with Santa for the local kids and put on a Safe Trick or Treat every year. I also have helped out at local soup kitchens and at a local science camp.
