ATTRIBUTES
Academics
I have managed to maintain a 4.0 GPA despite various honors courses and the five arduous AP classes I have taken including Calculus and Physics. I am currently enrolled to take four additional AP classes. I have greatly exceeded the graduation requirements by taking extra core classes in science, math, and foreign language along with classes that make a well rounded student such as health, art, and theatre. I am also involved in the National Honors Society and attend meetings regularly.
Work
I started working at the lowest level at a children’s party and playtime establishment. I watch the children and move them from one room to the next on schedule. I am in charge of serving food and cleaning up. After two months as an attendant, I was promoted to floater which prepares and cleans up parties. After six months at my job, I became the youngest junior manager over employees that had worked far longer than me. I have never called in sick or missed a shift and I often fill in for other coworkers.
In addition, I work at an equestrian facility. As a groom for my trainer, I clean and tack up the horses while she rides. I clean stalls and paddocks, feed the horses, and accomplish other various odd jobs.
Other Achievements
Music- I have been involved in a musical activity since I was eight years old when I began piano lessons. After five years of piano, I took two years of flute. I played in the seventh and eighth grade band at school as well as an extra music program at a local high school after school. I am going into my fourth year of playing oboe in the Metropolitan Youth Symphony where I have been involved in their band and orchestra programs. I have also played in my high school's pit orchestra for the spring play. In addition, I have participated in the district solo ensemble festival for two years.
