Community Service
I have donated my time to my community in many ways. I am involved in my city’s Emergency Management program which requires us to do things for the city. Being involved in this I have gotten the chance to go around my city and take damage assessments from when it has stormed or flooded in my home town. I have gotten the chance to see how helping my community not only helps the people and earth, but how it helps me. Seeing how helping they people in my community affects them makes me feel better about myself and them. Being involved in such things I have become more involved in my community and have joined my community’s storm spotter program. We go out and watch the storms if they become more severe we radio in to our Emergency Management director.
Other Achievements
Being involved in school activities such as band, student council, 4-H, and FFA has awarded me with many honors. I have received two FFA degrees my Greenhand Degree and my Discovery Degree. My band has gotten two awards one for having maintained a 3.495 and receiving the superior award in state contest. Threw 4-H I have a child development, speech, and community service. . Student council I have received the vice President’s role in our schools chapter and this school year I will be President. I have received an award in my Biology II for having the highest grade in my class. Threw all these awards and training I had to go through to get them I have become a better person and become more open to new things.
Government
I have received my FEMA awards in FEMA IS-700 National incident management System-2009 FEMA IS-100 introduction to the incident command system-2009 FEMA IS-200 ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents-2009 Oklahoma Office of Homeland Security NIMS ICS-400 (EMI) Advanced Incident Command System at Shawnee, OK august 4- august 11-2009. Fire Service Training NIMS ICS 300 Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents -2010, Fire Service Training NIMS ICS 400 (EMI) Advanced incident command system-2009. These awards no allow me to do multiple things threw my city and if there ever was to be a major disaster these awards allow me to get in restricted areas and allow me to be in charge on certain scenes.
