Academics
I participated in a gifted children's program in elementary school which became a good platform for me to fully develop my verbal, visual, and analytical skills for middle and high school. In middle school, I excelled in honors classes in math, English, science, and history all three years. During my freshman year of high school, I took 3 honors classes and 1 Pre-AP class. In my sophomore year, I took 2 honors classes and 1 Pre-AP class. My junior year, I took AP Biology, and this next year, I am planning on taking AP Spanish Language and Physics Honors. All throughout middle school and high school, I have been on honor roll and high honor roll. Lastly, I got a 1760 on my SAT and a 29 on my ACT, but I am planning to improve my scores very soon.
Athletics
From the age of 6, I have been extremely dedicated to my tennis. I play tennis all year long - rain or shine. I began participating in competitive local tournaments sanctioned by the United States Tennis Association. As I became more passionate with my tennis, my parents and I began to travel throughtout the state of Texas. I also practice multiple times a week at Brookhaven Tennis Center anywhere from two and a half to three hours at a time. My sophomore year of high school, I was ranked first on my school's varsity tennis team, won 2nd place during the District Competition, and made it to the State Championships. My junior year, I was on the 3rd string doubles team. I plan to continue playing tennis my senior year as a singles player, and I definitely want to pursue college tennis.
Work
I first began working in a medical office when I was only four years old. My knowledge of the medical field has definitely become quite extensive over the past 13 years. I learned how to make appointments, answer phones, scan medical records, and I even helped with and observed routine patient care. During the summer of 2011, I worked as a counselor in training at the AGBU's Camp Nubar in Delancey, New York. I was there for 7 weeks, and during that time, I helped prepare the camp for the oncoming campers, and I took care of 7-9 year olds for 4 weeks and 11-13 year olds for 2 weeks. I was also a tennis counselor in which I instructed beginner, intermediate, and advanced players. I am determined, hardworking, passionate, persistent, and I strive to be the best that I can in everything I do.
