ATTRIBUTES
Academics
I have been on the highest honor roll ever since the 7th grade. I strive every year to earn an "A" every marking period in every class. I currently am taking Calculus, Anatomy and Physiology, Sociology, Physiology, Basic Foods, Nutrition, and Wellness, College English, Creative Writing, Advanced Chemistry, and Government. I received the highest GPA award two years in a row and am first in my class. In each of my classes I always participate in order to learn new things and try to help others who do not understand the information. You can describe me as tenacious because I never give up and think of others before myself. I am involved in tons of student activities and sports throughout my school and community. I received the National Merit Scholarship for both athletics and academics!
Athletics
I am currently a member of the Trojans Track team and had the pleasure of participating in both LHAC , West Central, and District track meets. While participating I demonstrate outstanding leadership and maintain a clear sense of purpose and show my true colors by my no quit attitude. I push myself as well as others in order to perform to their greatest abilities. I almost beat a few of the records held for over 20 years. I currently run the 4x8, 4x4, 1600m, and the 800m, occasionally 400m, long jump, or triple jump. Also in school I participate in volleyball where I am a middle, outside, DS, and right side hitter. I also play basketball and am about 200 points from reaching others. I you ask others on my team they would call me unselfish. My favorite sport is soccer who I call my family!!
Community Service
I have been helping out at my local soup kitchen and donate many things to Beginnings Inc., Goodwill, and friends who need things. It makes me feel good inside to help others in need. I am involved in the HOPE Group which is a group that performs local community service projects. We went to our local Senior Center and put on a "senior prom" for all the residents. We also collect penny's, and cans of food and give them to charities. I am also a certified volunteer soccer referee for my local AYSO soccer organization. In school I am involved in NHS, NHSHSS, Student Council (President), Prom Committee, Reading Team, Band (Drum major) (President), Peer mentoring, Student Board Representative, HOPE Group, and Junior Class President. In the coming months I will volunteer at the Special Olympics.
