Faith
For the past four years I have been a Sunday School teacher for the South Congregational Church in Braintree. I enjoy teaching children about Jesus through interactive play, music and art. I love helping children develop a personal relationship with God.
I became interested in learning more about my faith in grade school, and found the history and nature of the Bible intriguing. I hope that I can help my students find the inspiration that I found so helpful to me.
The Bible and my Sunday School teachers inspired me to have a strong ethical and moral code that has made me into the person that I have become. I find that I can turn to my faith and feel comfortable with who and what I have become and no matter what challenges I have in life, my faith will always prevail.
Community Service
I am involved in many community service projects and have been my entire life. I have a strong background in the environment and enjoy working to keep my community clean. Braintree Beautification Day and Make A Difference Day are two events that I have been involved with for the past 5 years.
Braintree Beautification Day is a day that many individuals gather at our Town Hall and find areas in the community that need a little help (cleaning, planting or painting.) I find it very satisfying when we complete a task to make our town beautiful.
Make A Difference day is a day in October when we work to collect items for different organizations in need. From clothes to DVDs we find a home for all the supplies graciously donated.
I enjoy seeing the people in our community working together.
Technology
Technology and excitement are synonymous to me! I enjoy learning about our changing world and strive to make a difference in it. For the past 7 years I have been involved with the Braintree Robotics Program, as a student, mentor and teacher. During this time, I have studied new technologies and interesting scientific ideas. I plan on continuing my dreams by studying engineering in college.
My dream is to be involved with the Space Program. Whether as an astronaut, ground control or materials expert I dream of being part of a team that takes exploration to it's highest level. I believe there are answers out there that are waiting for us. Environmental solutions, Medical discoveries, and Historical evidence could all be out there waiting to be revealed.
