Academics

I have received numerous academic awards such as:

- GPA- Unweighted 3.9 Weighted 4.3

- Stretch for Excellence Award Freshman year in Honors Algebra 2

- Academic Excellence Award Freshman year, sophomore and junior year

- Academic All State First Team for football junior year

- Academic Letter Award 4.0 or higher junior year

- Stretch for Excellence award junior year for English

Community Service

I was inducted into National Honor Society my junior year of high school, and am going to be an officer in National Honor Society my senior year. Through National Honor Society I have volunteered at Trick or Treat Street, as well as volunteered at the Platte River Half Marathon. I have raised money and awareness about cancer research through Relay for Life every year of high school. This past year my Relay for Life team raised over $2,000. I also organized a 3 vs. 3 basketball tournament between two high schools to raise money for the Cardiac Kids Chapter at Children's Hospital. I raised $600 for the Hospital. Also every year my youth group participates in the Sam Sandos project. We fill up food baskets during the holiday season for the less fortunate, and deliver them around Denver.

Faith

Faith has become such a huge part of my life over the past few years. I went through Confirmation at St. Francis Cabrini Parish during my freshmen year of high school, and my life has never been the same since. I heavily became involved in my youth group, as well as my bible study, the B.A.C.(Bad A** Christians). We have bible study every Sunday at my church, but we aren't always studying the bible. We also do fun things such as paintballing, hiking, and even dodge-ball! I have attended numerous retreats, whether through my church, or retreats put on by other organizations, such as Stuebenville of the Rockies! I have learned that in high school things can really get rough, but it is my faith that has pulled me through. Well, not my faith, the faith that the Lord has granted me! John 6.
