About the High School Discus Awards
The Discus Awards represents the next generation of high school recognition, honoring students in the pursuit of their passions.
In today’s changing landscape of college admissions, an award that focuses only on numbers doesn’t make the grade. The Discus Awards honors the kind of unconventional students colleges care about: all-around students who shine in at least three of ten "key attributes". Students in grades 9-12 can nominate themselves or their friends, and teachers, counselors, and parents can nominate someone they know. Nominations are free and easy to complete at www.DiscusAwards.com.
Behind the Discus
The Discus Awards is owned and operated by Scholarship Strategies, LLC. Scholarship Strategies provides high school and middle school students (and their families) access to a unique portfolio of scholarships to help reduce the financial burden of preparing for and pursuing a college education.
